Late June through September
North Creek is a small river that flows into the Bering Sea and is a 30 minute flight from Hoodoo Lodge. North Creek offers a truly unique fishing experience where king salmon, silver salmon, chum salmon, and sea run dolly varden are caught within the first mile of river after entering from the sea. These fish are chrome-bright and mega-strong, creating a challenge for any angler that chooses to give this option a try. The species available varies depending on the time of season.
North Creek adventures usually consist of two days fishing and a one-night stay at our comfortable tent camp, consisting of three clean weather-port tents, electricity for lights, cots and sleeping bags. This camp is located just off the black sand beach of the Bering Sea and approximately a ¾ mile walk from the mouth of the river. Your guide will serve simple camp meals prepared and packaged by our Chef and kitchen team at the Lodge. You may also enjoy fresh fish cooked over an open fire as a shore lunch when conditions are favorable.
This adventure has proved to be a favorite among our guests. They enjoy the sound of the Bering Sea surf while at camp, walking and beach combing along the beach, occasional brown bear sightings and the awesome fishing experience. If you like to walk the beach, enjoy a tent camp experience, and dream of incredible remote fishing than this is one option to try.
