Fly fish for Arctic Char “Dolly Varden” on secluded Hoodoo Lake
This is an extremely popular day trip from the Lodge. You will load up in Hoodoo’s private floatplane in the morning for a short ten minute flight to Hoodoo Lake. A short hike puts you in search of numerous dollies and char feeding behind spawning salmon. In addition to the incredible fishing, our guests enjoy breathtaking scenery and the opportunity to experience the amazing phenomenon of the salmon spawning cycle. Brown bear are also frequently seen on this adventure. After your day at Hoodoo Lake, which includes a shore lunch of fresh caught fish prepared over an open fire, you will be flown back to Hoodoo Lodge not to miss appetizers and cocktails prior to dinner.
