Mid August through September
During our Silver season we offer a day fly-out the “The Braids”, which is a short 5-minute float plane ride from the lodge. This is a unique experience where thousands of silvers congregate in a small river channel and large shallow lake. When conditions are right, these fish will “tail in the shallows” just like redfish or bonefish on the flats. This offers many opportunities at sight fishing to these fish on surface flies and streamers. When conditions are optimal “The Braids” might offer some of the best “top-water” fishing in the world! If “sight-fishing for silvers on the flats” (like bonefish) or “having top-water action that can go all day long” is in your blood than you won’t want to pass on this option.
